Being a project manager and accomplishing the undertaken project within the budget can be more or less considered to be an easy. But, in this context, the fact that needs to be taken into consideration is that the project managers should possess the ability and capability to understand the impact on the business and the relationship with the clients if the project goes over budget. If the project manager fails to meet the budget, it can lead to his failure of his career as a project manager.

Operational Networking

This networking site facilitates the project manager in ensuring cooperation and coordination among the individuals like the seniors, peers, team members, client, distributor s, suppliers and the customers who need to know and trust each other for the successful accomplishment of the undertaken project and thus with each success, the career of the individual as a project manager would take new heights (hbr.org, 2007).

Personal Networking

Through personal networking, the project manager would be able to become aware of his limitations in context social skills together with their knowledge about the professional domains. So, it can be said that the personal networking with the professional associations, clubs, alumni groups and personal interest communities would facilitate the project managers to develop their skills and knowledge which would facilitate in advancing in their career through important information, referrals and development support in the form of mentoring and coaching.

Strategic Networking

Through strategic networking, the project managers can make an effective use of the indirect influence; convince an individual to take an action that is important for the accomplishment of the project. Thus it can be said that through strategic networking, the project manager can shape his image and can turn things into his favor for accomplishing the project in a successful manner which would add to his credibility and success (hbr.org, 2007).

The above strategies facilitates in efficiently managing the project, however the project managers face various challenges in global project management. The issues include the cultural diversity of the team members and stakeholders and inability to communicate face to face with the team members and stakeholders (Gemünden, 2015). Thus, in this context, the project managers should emphasize upon adopting a global communication strategy and a standard language of communication. If setting standard communication is not possible, arrangements for translators should be made.

Thus from the above discussions it can be said that the project managers in order to achieve success in his career need to adopt the certain goals and strategies failure to which would limit his career as a project manager.
