A person after leaving his final year starts finding a new job. After giving few interviews he got a job in McKale Inc in its Leadership Development Program. Then He signed the offer letter of the company and got the joining date of July 1^st. This organization’s employees participated in an event which is career related (Pohling et al, 2015). While going through the LinkedIn profile he found a message from Lead Recruiter from Rodriguez & Miller, David Stone. David gave a description of an impressive job and ask him to have a conversation with him. He gave an interview in Rodriguez & Miller and got selected and got an offer letter too. Then he realized that he needed to take a quick fair decision (Fok et al, 2014).

His mother told him to join in Rodriguez & Miller as it was giving better career opportunity. But Lisa advised him something different. She suggested him for thinking twice before reneging the job in McKale Inc. Because it would harm his reputation and would harm his future career moves (Lewis, 2013).

An effective decision-making is required to resolve the ethical dilemmas. The following framework would give a proof, which is very helpful when it is confronted by professional or personal ethical dilemma, for minimizing the decision-making’s subjective nature. It is necessary to remember that, decision-making needs thought and time.

Identifying stakeholders who will be benefited and harmed by certain outcomes or decisions

 Recognizing who would get the benefit or who would be harmed by the specific outcomes or decisions. Hence, from the above case it is clear that if the person join the first company then both the company and the person would benefited. But if he joins the second company he would not benefitted as he would loss his reputation before its beginning.

What would be the review of the economical implication?

 It is a review of short term and long term economical functionalities of a powerful solution and a problem. So it is viewed that . As the financial implication is in concern then if the person joined that company then he should not be financially satisfied as the second company offering more salary.

What would be the law that would affect the outcome of the decision?

He would definitely break the law if he renege the offer of the job that was given by the first company. Because he committed to join in that company which he is refusing the contract with that company

What would be the ethical thought to guide the decision making?

 If the ethical thought is in concern, then the person who is going through this situation then he should join that company whose offer letter was signed by him. Because he is reneging his commitment with that company which totally unethical and against the law. This would be the reason of his confusion that would compel him to break the law of reneging or law of breaking a contract.

Conclusion

He was in a great confusion that what he should do. People should always remember one thing that when one is on the initial point of his career then he should always take an ethical step. Because once that person reputation is harmed then it would become very difficult to rebuild it in this future career. So the person who has signed the offer letter of McKale Inc, he need to go for that job opportunity.
