Introduction

There is a huge demand for the order tracking system in many countries. There are several features in the order tracking system and it helps to keep in track of the order in a systematic way. There is always a need for the development of the tracking system at the time of fast delivery of any items. In order to maintain this order of the items there are certain software to improve the tracking system (Enck et al 2014). In the delivery of the order, this tracking system helps to know the timing of the product that are delivered to the required person. Moreover, it helps in tracking the status of the item that is required at the time of delay.

Background of the problem

Previously tracking system is used at the time for observing the people and getting the location of the product. There are certain problems for the tracking system that are causing a huge trouble. Moreover, the tracking system is followed by the software that is set by the computer system (Verma & Bhatia, 2013). These tracking systems are used to create or update the record of customers. There is a problem related to the ticketing at the time for checking or booking. In the tracking system there involves a huge amount of information that can create a problem to the customer. Moreover, there are problem related to the software, as the tracking system are controlled by the computer software. In the software problem, the information or record of the customers may lose, this creates a huge problem. There is always a challenging problem that is faced by the people at the time of tracking of system (Foxlin, Wormell, Browne & Donfrancesco, 2014). The exact tracking system needs high skill technicians to collect all the information correctly for future use. The bugs or virus can creates a huge problem at the time for tracking of the system. This bugs can remove the file of the customer at are used at the time of delivering of products.

Literature Review

Introduction:

The literature review could be useful for the people and readers to know about the importance of tracking system (Dell et al. 2014). There is a huge importance for the tracking system among the people for the delivering of products and tracking the location. There are certain steps that are to be keeping in mind about the tracking system of the products. There are certain techniques related to the tracking system, these are GPS, 2D bar code etc.

Concept:

There are certain concepts related to the tracking system at the time of order of products. This concept helps in improving the technology on the tracking system. This technology is based on phones, satellites to keep a continuous track of the order items. Moreover, the main concept of the tracking system follows with the vitality of the tracking system (Xie, Jones & Tam, 2017). This also helps in improving the tracking system at the time of virtual technology. This is based upon the use of different technology that helps to implement the proper working of tracking of the products. This is regarding the use of software for the development of the tracking system. Moreover this includes with the payment, delivering of the products, inventory etc that are useful for the customers. In order to develop the tracking system, there is a huge involvement of the computer software (Musa, Ali, Eltayeb & Elgozali, 2016). This software plays a key role towards the customer and the firm by keeping the exact track of the order. There are certain techniques that help in the improvement of tracking system. These are the involvement of RFID, GPS etc that helps the company to track to product. In the RFID techniques help to make location of the article until it reaches in the hand of customer and then only the tag are removed.  In the RFID techniques has limitation that works on the limited distance.

Advantage and disadvantage

There are certain advantage and disadvantage related to the tracking system. The main advantage of the tracking system is to continuous keeping an update of the record or information at the time of delivery of product (Chen, 2015). The tracking system is useful at the time of navigating or getting the exact direction of the product. The tracking system helps in improving the business by the help of properly tracking of the records. This helps in getting the track of the applicant at the time of working (Duchowski, 2017). This tracking system saves money and time as the software is continuously tracking the records. Moreover, the tracking system are used in Global Positioning System (GPS) to navigate or getting the location of the person (Coralie, Guillaume & Claude, 2015). The tracking system helps the customer to get the product at an exact time and also helps to know the problem for delay. There is a huge advantage related to the tracking system that belongs to the saving of time and money. Moreover, it helps in reducing the downtime at the time of tracking. This downtime helps the firm in improving the profitability and productivity by the advancement in GPS. This also helps in reducing the paperwork at the time of dispatch of the products. It helps in reducing the maintenance cost at the time for locating of vehicles that is lost or stolen. This helps in providing alerts at the time of problem of the people at the time of emergency.

There is certain disadvantage related to the tracking system. This tracking system is totally controlled by the computer software (Ståhl & Bosch, 2014). In this software, there is a problem related to the virus or the bugs that can attack the database of the customers at the time of tracking. Moreover, in the applicant tracking system keeps an update of the resumes that are not meet with the required candidate. The applicant tracking keeps a limitation of the data about the person. In the tracking system, there lies with the technology that is e-commerce. There is a disadvantage with the process of e-commerce system that belongs to the items that can be misplaced or lost (Span, Hettinga, Vernooij-Dassen, Eefsting & Smits, 2013). Moreover this happens due to the poor system of the tracking.

Gap in literature:

In the previous research work there is a less importance of the tracking system at the ordering of products. On the earlier times, the society was not aware of the tracking system and the use of technology.  In the current research work, the researcher has found a huge importance for tracking system (Volk, Stengel & Schultmann, 2014). Now a day, tracking system are not left for order of products but are also used at the time for tracking of person with the help of GPS that is Global Positioning System. In recent use of the tracking system helps in saving the time and money of the customer. Moreover the tracking system helps in customer by providing awareness of the product order and delivered at time. The present research work helps to know the topic and usefulness towards the customers. This tracking system is used in the mobile phones to get the tracking of the person (Shah, Sulaiman, Shukor, Jamaluddin & Ab Rashid, 2016). Moreover, the tracking system has improved from the previous research study. The use of new innovation in technology helps in improving the tracking system. Customers can easily track their products at the time of delivery.

Research Objectives

  • To evaluate the significance of the order tracking system in the business
  • To analyze the impact of developing order tracking system to improve the business outcomes
  • To identify the loopholes in current trend of order tracking mechanism
  • To recommend potential mechanism of improving tracking process to ensure better security in the same area

Research Aims:

The main aim of the research work to develop the order of the tracking system. This lies with the improvement of the technical planning that reduce the money and time of customers and company. Moreover, the proper design and development of the tracking system helps in tracking and getting control of the vehicles (Hilbert, 2016). This system involves with the technology such as GPS that helps in the tracking of the system. The main aims are to identify the best form of tracking technology that helps the track of the particular product.

Significance of the research:

This research work would help to know about the development of tracking system in the daily use by customers as well as company. Moreover, tracking system has been used to observe the product at the time delivering to customer (Asowata, Schoeman & Pienaar, 2017). The development of the order in the tracking system helps to get the exact location of the product. This development also helps to acquire the sequential order of the objects. The tracking system helps in getting the updated information of the product. Moreover, this development in the tracking system involves with the new technology including GSM modem that are used to locate the current location of the person.

Research strategy

There are certain research limitations while carrying out the research work. In the research strategy there lies with the types of research methods, data analysis techniques, that are carried out in the research work (Gosselin, 2014). The research strategy involves with different strategy that are carried to complete the research work.

The research approach helps in carrying out the research work more effectively. The research approach is carried out in two main parts. These are deductive and inductive approach. In the deductive approach planning involves by making normal settings with a specified point. In the inductive approach planning with the involvement of normal starting and finishing with a general conclusion to complete the research work. In this research work, the inductive research approach is conducted to properly carry out the research work.

Research Methodology:

The research will carry out both the primary and the secondary research methods while conducting the research work. The primary research methods are conducted with the help of data analysis techniques that is qualitative and quantitative methods. In the qualitative research method the researcher will conduct interviews (Weber, 2015). In the quantitative research methods, the researcher will conduct different techniques such as surveys, exit interviews, house to house interview, product placements and Central location tests (CLTs). In the secondary research method, the researcher will focus on the journals, books and websites to support the research work. The researcher will focus in the primary research techniques to get the real and relevant information from the people and company’s employee. The researcher will gather relevant information by conducting the surveys, product placements, house to house interviews. Moreover, the development of the tracking systems can be only made at the time of survey. The survey methods help to gather a relevant data or information. While conducting of the survey, the researcher will have to form a volunteering team (Katz, 2015). This volunteering team will helps the researcher to conduct the survey, exit interviews, product placements, house to house interviews and central location tests. These techniques are all involved at the time of conducting quantitative research method. Moreover, the researcher will conduct the survey techniques with the help of volunteers. The volunteers must know about the development of order tracking system (Catthoor et al. 2013).  The researcher will conduct the survey techniques in the society to know the exact techniques involved for development of the tracking system.

The exact philosophy helps to make the exact pathway for carrying the research study. There are basically four methods of research philosophy. These are positivism, realism, interpretive and post-positivism. In this study, the positivism research philosophy is conducted to know the exact pathways. .

The exact research design helps to make a of the research study. There are mainly three methods of the research design (Scholkmann et al. 2014). These are explanatory, experimental and descriptive design. The descriptive research methods are conducted in this research design techniques. The descriptive techniques help the learner as well the experienced person about the development of tracking system.

Data Gathering:

The data gathering are formed by conducting the primary research method. In the primary research methods includes with the quantitative research techniques. In order to gather more information, the survey is conducted among the people and employee’s company. The real and relevant data are collected by the researcher for conducting the research work. In the quantitative research method, the researcher will conduct house to house interview to know the information of delivering of the product (Tarone, Gass & Cohen, 2013). This will help the researcher to know the exact problem related to the tracking of the product. By solving the problem, the research could make the development of the tracking system. However, the research would carry out product placements to know exactly the tracking system are working properly or not. The product placements helps to know the exact cause of the problem involved at the tracking system. This will also help the researcher to know about the delay timings of the product at the time of delivery to the customer. Moreover, by conducting the quantitative research methods for gathering of the data, the researcher would conduct the central location tests (CLTs). By conducting the CLTs test, the researcher could get the exact location of the areas such as rooms.

The data collection methods are conducted mainly by the two processes. These methods involve with the primary and secondary research methods. The new data collection is involved with the primary data and the previous gathering data are formed with the secondary data. In this research work, the researcher will carry out the primary data collection methods.

While conducting the research work, there is a involvement of the sampling techniques. This sampling technique helps to carry out the survey techniques on particular areas in the society to know the working of the tracking systems. Moreover, in this research work, a group of volunteers are recruited to conduct the survey techniques. This helps in making the proper survey of the research work (Weidema et al. 2013). The sampling techniques lie with the 10 volunteers and involvement of 70 people in the society to conduct the survey. The sampling techniques are carried with the help of two processes that is probability and the non probability. In this study, the researcher will conduct the non-probability sampling techniques. The correct approach would help in making the correct sampling techniques to get the exact information while conducting the survey.

The data which is collected must be analyzed to get the better result for the research study. There are generally three methods of the data analysis techniques. This methods are qualitative, quantitative and mixed or triangulation method. In this research study, the researcher will conduct quantitative data analysis techniques to get the real and relevant data. In the quantitative data analysis techniques involves with the surveys, exit interviews, product placements, house to house interviews (Nikonov & Young, 2013). These give the real and relevant information for conducting the research study. Moreover, the surveys are conducted on people and companies employee to know any problems from the tracking system.

Rigor, Validity, reliability and ethics:

While conducting the research work, the researcher has been conducted real and relevant information at the time of survey. The researcher has been conducted the interview among the people in a systematic manner without causing any violation.  The volunteers has maintained systematically with the company's employee at the time of survey. This survey is highly valid and gathers enough real and relevant information. Moreover, the survey is based on the reliability because the information is stored as evidence. While conducting the survey, no people are forcefully disturbed. The survey is conducted based on the ethical cause. All the information recorded at the time of survey is stored properly (Renn, 2014). However, the survey work did not make any false information about the tracking system. The survey is conducted keeping all the things in minds such as ethics, reliability, validity and vigor. The researcher has been focused more on the survey to get the positive and real information. Moreover, the survey provides the relevant information and also respecting the ethical values of the people in the society. This helps the people to real information for survey work.
