Bus703 Managing Research | Characteristics Assessment Answer

Answer:

1.This article uses focus groups. Describe the characteristics of this research design and evaluate how well it was used in this research? Was this design sufficient to address the research objective, or would you suggest another design?

Research design is defined as the array of methods and means that are used by the researcher to analyse the variables of the research and to analyse the problems that are there in the modes of the research process. The research design taken in the analysis of the article is the focus group method which is defined as the small but diverse group that is there in the research purpose having their own set of reactions and answers to the situation. This help the researcher to analyse the different forms of effective outcomes that can come from a single research. This is characterised by the interview format which is one of the most important tool for providing feedback in the qualitative forms of research.

The analysis of the article used the Focus group method for the discussion as it provided a free analysis and response to the overall fact of the presentation. The analysis of the article selected six to ten participants having the same physiognomies. Total six focus groups of 26 participants were there who were selected based on the purposive sampling methods that enabled the groups to have the detailed analysis. The moderator facilitated the research by taking the audio recordings and avoiding bias at all levels by not being appraised of the topic in advance. Only three passive participants across four focus groups made the whole process seem positively affected as the majority of the participants voiced their opinions in relation to the questions asked to them during the research. The approach was well conducted that enabled the researcher to reach the conclusion with good results and diverse views across all arenas.

There are in general three forms of research design namely the exploratory, descriptive and the casual form of the research design. These three forms of the research design help to understand the different ways in which the research is being conducted. Here, in the analysis, the focus group research design is the analysis of the exploratory form which according to me was sufficient to address the objective of the research. The aim of the research was to find the inclination of Indian consumers to purchase organic apparel which was done by using the focus groups catering to the city of Kochi in Kerala. The conclusion was diverse in nature which made the research design bear good results.

However, there was some lack of perfection which has led to the fact that the whole process could have been conducted in a better way. The passive participants contributed to the doubt and the limitation of the focus group to only one city and the urban residents made the whole event a little subjective and relative in nature. Otherwise, the research design conducted for the analysis of the data had been apt and made to bear the results that are there in the period of time. The wholesome research design addressed for the following analysis of the data in the article was therefore sufficient for the analysis of the facts and reach the conclusion as desired.

2.Critique the sampling strategy and respondent selection used in this study. In particular, describe how the country where the research took place and the demographics of the sample may impact on the generalizability of the results to other populations.

Sampling is defined as the method in which a limited number of people are selected from a huge mass of population whose ideas and theories contribute to the wholesome development and ideas of the population. The respondent selection is done based on the type of sampling and the needs of the analysis that is to be conducted in the following method. The sampling method used for the analysis of the data in the given research analysis is the purposive method of sampling. The purposive method of sampling is defined as the type of non-probability sampling method that is taken from the general population based upon the characteristics of the population needed and the aims and objectives of the study.

The sampling method taken for the analysis of the data is the purposive sampling method as this method enabled the overall group to be selected from the Indian population across the state of Kerala from the city of Kochi. The type of sampling method which is being taken is to make sure that the different focus groups have difference of opinion and stages in between them whereas there exist a sense of homogenous population among the people of the same focus groups.

The country in which the study was conducted is India which has a number of demographic variations across the different forms of the people which can contribute to the overall analysis of the research by the various types of the answers and responses given to the researcher. The country as well as the demographic of the country affected the sample method of the study in the forms that there are a number of people belonging to the various sects of the social order all in terms of financial as well as the physical characteristics of the population. The purposive sampling technique helped to make sure that every genre of the population is being catered which will enable the overall population and their decision in the span of the time. The difference in the opinions among the people belonging to the various groups within the span of the Indian population make sure to have the detailed analytical measures of the point.

The purposive sampling method has been one of the best decisions of the research analysis methods as that enabled the researcher to have a detailed analysis of the different types of groups within the span of the society and each of their contributions towards the consumer behaviour regarding the purchase of the organic clothing material. The overall variations in the different groups made sure that the overall analysis of the research has been done keeping all the sections of the population and their facts in mind.

However, the generalised and homogenous nature of the groups and the similarity of opinion in each of the group can lead to the bias within the people belonging to the same social group. The overall analysis of the sampling method and respondent sample is not bias and so the overall analysis of the sampling method seems well for the research analysis keeping in mind the demographic variations of the Indian people in relation to the subject.

3.The study used both thematic and theoretical thematic analysis. In your opinion, did the use of both approaches enhance the quality of the research findings and in what ways?

Thematic analysis is defined as the form of qualitative analysis in a research method in which the research enables the wholesome analysis by pointing the data after examining the research analysis and recording the various means for the description in the research analysis methods. The overall analysis of the themes in the research method can include two types of analysis techniques namely the thematic and the theoretical analysis.

The research analysis of the data regarding the consumer behaviour of the Indian people in purchase of organic clothing materials had been done both on the basis of thematic and theoretical analytical methods. This kind of analysis makes sure that the overall analysis of the same is there and had been analysed based on the both the methods for the better analysis of the facts and data concerning the span of time. The overall analysis of the methods make sure that the quality of the method of the analysis is interpreted and the quality of the analysis is made at the topmost priority. The overall analysis using both thematic and theoretical segments of the analysis make sure that the amount of research done is apt and to the point of analysis.

The research which is being conducted in the analysis in the most convenient way as this enables the data to have a qualitative analysis of the data in terms of the themes that are in the process of the analysis. The overall analysis of the research findings are also associated with the calculation and figurative ways which are analysed by the theories and their applications. The overall theories and their applications of the overall analysis method makes sure that the overall methods of the analysis enhance the quality of the research findings.

There are a number of ways in which the quality of the research analysis can be enhanced in terms of the fact that in the analysis mode, both the qualitative analysis is done using various perspectives including the theoretical analysis as well as the theoretical approaches that help to decipher the classical methods of analysis. The topic of the research analysis being the consumer behaviour of the Indian population regarding the purchase of organic clothes and the analysis is being conducted in the city of Kochi in the state of Kerala in India.

Being a diverse country with a number of focus groups which has been analysed belonging to the various strata of the society, it is important to have a detailed analysis of the consumer behaviour of the people. The overall analysis of the methods should be as diverse as possible which means that a number of research analysis method when implemented in the forms of the analysis technique gives ample scope for the researcher to have a specific analysis of the fact and also for the time span which means that the wholesome analysis of the research method is to be made in accordance with the both styles and techniques of research analysis. The overall twin analysis using both theoretical and thematic analysis is therefore positive for the research and enhances the quality in a number of ways.

4.Critique the outcomes of this this research article. Did the researchers’ achieve the stated research objective?

The research article is aimed to provide a detailed analysis of the consumer behaviour of the Indian buyers in the context of organic clothing items in the organic sense of the time. The overall analysis of the research method aims to establish the ways and means of the method to analyse the various means of the research method. The objectives of the research is to make sure that all the prospects of the research are being conducted along with the research article to have a detailed analysis of the facts.

The different methods of the research including the theories and thematic analysis of the facts are again to be considered to make sure that each of the aspects of the research is being conducted to have a detailed analysis of the methods. The theories as well as the different ways of the analysis of the methods and techniques are to be adhered to the means to have a detailed analytical means for the analysis of the facts. Both qualitative analysis and quantitative data are being used in the process which undergoes the process of extreme comparison from both the domestic and international apparel manufacturing companies catering to the organic genre. The innovation of the sustainable fabrics are also being considered which means that the overall analysis of the relationship is to be assessed using the behavioural control of the people who belong to the different forms of demographic zones in the form of time.

The knowledge of the product as well as the influence of the people including the dimension of the customer behaviour is to be analysed which make sure that the capitalisation of the market is to be analysed by the various means of the sense. The influence of the demographic alliance with the people of the city of Kochi in the state of Kerala in India has been the focus group which has enabled the researcher to analyse the various modes of the potentiality of the fast changing face of the apparel in the picture of the time. The influence of the Indian apparel industry is to be analysed based upon the ways and means of the Ministry of Commerce who have a set agenda for the business of the subcontinent.

Critically analysing the outcomes of the research article which clearly states the consumer behaviour and purchasing attitude of the Indian consumers after being assessing the research technique, it can be stated that the researcher has succeeded in making sure that the overall techniques of the organic clothing items and the buying nature of the consumers is being done.
