Answer:

This report has been done to analyze the communication progression and the way it helps the individual to achieve their goal. Through this report it has been depicted that what points has been learnt by me throughout the trimester. Every important aspect has been considered for preparing this report. This report has been prepared to evaluate the communication topic, knowledge and skills which are helpful in understanding the communication fluently. While preparing this report, I have become more familiar with many new concepts of communication. It is a two way process that is used by individuals to share their ideas, thoughts, plans with each other. Communication helps the person to become more social and achieve the goals in less time.

Discussion on communication:

It is a process in which 2 or more parties come together to share their ideas, thoughts, plans with each other. It allows an individual to become more social and achieve the goals in less time. Communication assists an individual, organization, society, and nation etc to set a contact with other person and work accordingly. Basically, communication principles are of 4 types; formal, interpersonal, organizational and informal culture. Formal communication is used in an organization to set a communication link among employer and employee. In this employer giver orders to employee and employee offers feedback on that (Beukelman and Mirenda, 2005).

Informal communication is most used communication principle by individuals. This process is used on regular basis and it occurs naturally and unconsciously in an organization. Interpersonal communication assists the 2 or more parties to set a link and share the ideas face to face whereas organizational culture allows the employees and other persons related to organization to understand the rules, culture, regulations, norms etc on the basis of silent network (DeVito, 2007).

It has been found through analyzing the 4 above principles of communication that communication plays vital role in an individual as well as organizational life. It has also been found through this study that communication is the process through which persons become capable to share their ideas and thoughts and implement the strategy to achieve their target (Broadbent, 2013).

I have analyzed the communication journals and text books and found that communication is itself a wide network which assists the people to achieve their goals and target in no time (Kellogg’s, 2017). I have analyzed a case study on Kellogg’s and found that the communication concepts in the company are quite wider and helps the company to achieve the goals and grab the market.

For analyzing the communication concepts in a better way, the communication principles used by the company, communication campaign, issues related to communication and strategies for solving that issues etc has been analyzed in Kellogg’s. It has been found through this study that the culture and communication process of the company is quite vital and helps the company to manage every issue in the company so that employee could get motivated and work with full of the efficiency (Tseand Viswanath, 2005). It has also been analyzed by me that communication principles is important for every user to understand it and work accordingly so that the other parties thought could be understood and the goals could be achieved without any issues (Pettyand Cacioppo, 2012).

 Analysis of Communication:

Communication concepts have been analyzed and found that communication process plays a vital role. Without communicating anything, it is not possible for the individuals, organizations, society, states etc to talk about the ideas, strategy, thoughts etcas communication sets a link among them and assist them to share the thoughts so that the issues could be resolved and the targets could be achieved by them sooner (McCroskey, Richmondand McCroskey, 2006). It has been found that every communication problem has some issues which could be resolved by the individual through implementing some good strategies.

It has also been found after going through various books and journal articles that if an effective communication approach is used in an organization than it would help the organization to accomplish every task on time without any issues (Arnold, 2017). It has also been found through designing this report that communication is an ongoing process which could never stop and thus a person must be very active while communicating so an essential process could be run.

Communication helps an organization in accomplishing the organizational role and individual goal as well. It is crucial for regular life and organization life to make an effective communication link (Fuller, Vicianand Brown, 2006). It assist the individual in achieving its targets through reaching on the heights and it also motivate the employees in an organization to do their work with full of efficiency.

Implication of communication in business:

Communication helps an organization in every department. It is the process through which people come together to discuss any issues, ideas, thoughts, plans and strategy so that targets could be achieved.  I have analyzed many case studies of communication in a business and found that without communication, it is not possible for an organization to come into existence (Arquero, Hassall, Joyce and Donoso, 2007). It has also been found that communication sets a connection among all the employees in the organization so that the strategies could be implemented in a better manner.

It has been found by me that every department of company whether it is marketing, finance, PR, research and development, manufacturing etc needs the communication process to achieve their target. It has been analyzed by me while doing a research over communication process in Kellogg’s that through the help of communication, it become easy for the company to grab more market and enhance the profitability of company (Pryor, Butlerand Boehringer, 2005).

Market communication campaign of the company has been analyzed and found that company has spent 12% of total turnover in this campaign and generated quite more revenues from last year.Market communication campaign of Kellogg’s has been investigated and found that the following changes have been occurred in the company, in comparison of other competitors in the industry (Kellogg’s, 2017).

It has been found that due to a great communication campaign of the company, it become possible for the company to achieve the highest international revenue and gross margin in last assessment year. It has also been found that the changes have been occurred in the company after the changes in the communication campaign. And the annual report of the company has also been studied by me and found that the executive members also believe that the reasons behind changes are their new communication campaign. Thus it could be said that communication strategy and factor are most important factor for the company to identify and analyze the changes in the company.

Interpretation:

Communication helps an organization in every department. It is the process through which people come together to discuss any issues, ideas, thoughts, plans and strategy so that targets could be achieved. The above report and study by me over various text books and journal articles depict that effective communication approach assists an organization to accomplish every task on time without any issues.

Through going through this report, it has been interpreted by me that communication is a two way process which allows one person to keep his or her ideas in front of others and assist the another person to give his or her feedback about it. I have analyzed that without an effective communication, an organization and an individual would not be able to achieve their target and work smoothly (Pryor, Butlerand Boehringer, 2005). I have investigated over a company to understand the concept of communication in a better manner and found that communication helps an organization in every department.I have also found that every department of company whether it is marketing, finance, PR, research and development, manufacturing etc needs the communication process to achieve their target. Thus it could be said that communication plays vital role in an organization as well as individual life.

Recommendation:

Through a study over communication principles and Kellogg’s, it could be said that company still need to make some changes in the communication so that the company could achieve the goal. Company can opt the virtue theory to resolve all the issues and thus the communication of company would be better. Kellogg’s could even take a 1 to 1 meeting to all the employees and ask them for the changes in the communication plan of the company. Further, company could make some changes in the earlier strategies to make the recent strategy much better.

Conclusion:

Through this report, it could be concluded that communication plays a vital role in an organization as well as in one’s individual life. Kellogg’s case study depicts that Market communication campaign of Kellogg’shelped the company to generate more revenue through spending 12% of total turnover in this campaign. It has been found that there are various principles of communication and all are helpful in different situation but is has also been found that every principle has some pros and cons thus while applying the principle in an organization or onan individual, one should be careful and must apply it effectively so that the best results could be achieved.
