Transactional Leadership

The best example of transactional leadership style is of Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks. The same leadership style is still practiced in Starbucks. The result of the leadership practice of this company is not questionable. The employees are directed that they have to do. Each person is designated with a particular post and the same individual is responsible for his or her responsibilities. Depending on performance of the person, he or she is rewarded if it resulted in good outcome or is held responsible for any kind of misconduct activity (Urick and Bowers 2013). Starbucks is well known for treating their employees well and it can be regarded as one of the factors behind the success of the company.

Transformational Leadership

For the transformational leadership the best example of is the leadership style of Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple. The leadership has been transformed from Steve Jobs to the recent CEO, Tim Cook. The leadership is depended on high level communication and is passed on from individual at the high level to the one lower in the hierarchy level (Hughes et al. 2012). It is by the means of motivating the people at the higher level, the goals of the organization can be met easily. In the mentioned organization, big and small tasks are allocated to the employees and they are given the responsibility of accomplishing the same task. The success of this type of leadership cannot be denied looking at the success of the company.   

Charismatic Leadership

Lee Iacocca, CEO of Chrysler Corporation is considered as one of the most influential leaders who follow charismatic leadership style. He is an American automobile executive who is best known for his contribution in the development of Ford Motor Company. In the recent corporate culture, employees are supposed to work ceaselessly and uncomplainingly. Even employees have to work for a relatively lower pay. In such situation, all that an employee can do is to realize the vision of the corporate authorities and abide by them (Mumford 2013). Charismatic leadership style is also a successful leadership style because the leaders are given that position in an organization because of their ability and experience. Thus, it is expected that any kind of input from them will result in positive outcome.

Participative Leadership 

The participative leadership style can be regarded as the most influential and effective leadership style. The internet search engine, Google, is run under the leadership of Sergey Brin and Larry Page. The duo practice participative or democratic type of leadership in their business organization (Briner et al. 2016). The organization hires experience candidates that automatically provides a dimension for the employees to participate in the decision making process. For instance, the blended leadership style of both from Novell and Sun brought great experience for Google. When Eric Schmidt was hired, there was a jump start for the company and the outcome is known to all. As per the democratic leadership style, the experienced employees and the leaders always take combined decision for any kind of business development.
