The American Education System

How the American Education System Compare with Education System in other Countries

The education system greatly differs across the globe in terms of curriculums, mode of teaching, and culture. Education is every country's foundation; therefore, it should be productive and vital. Americans believe that their education system is the best worldwide. However, some recognize American students as lazy and week compared to students from other parts of the globe because American students are given a lot of freedom. The claim is still yet not valid because American students significantly differ from students from other countries; however, they also share some similarities. The cultural difference between American students and students from different parts of the world makes them appear unique. According to Aithal and Shubhrajyotsna, American students do not only differ from students from other parts of the world in terms of culture but also the way they think, their ambitions, and the learning process offered to them (228). Also, time management gives them a better chance of emerging the best worldwide.

Bray et al. illustrate that American students practice a different culture as opposed to those that are encountered among students from other countries (440). Balancing studies, staying online, and playing video games is often tricky. The habit even worsens as the students’ progress with their studies due to addiction.  Students find it cumbersome to give classwork maximum time. These habits are commonly seen in American students making international students even do better than them. American students tend to text one another under the desk during class hours, reducing their attention. They appear tired and eventually fail to take notes. These students occasionally find themselves distracted from class, reducing their level of discipline. Even though the difference in American students' culture and students from different parts of the world, American students are still ambitious to achieve their life goals.

Even though American students are so much into social media, they are talented, hardworking, and have diverse options making their education life to be interesting. Their innovation skills are beyond comparison. Most of the world's countries have a culture of emphasizing higher education and passing exams to succeed (Harley 282). Making the students believe that they can only make it in life when they pass exams in a harmful vice since such students have limited life skills. Students from other parts like China are restricted on what do and the level of education that one should reach. Such students cannot perform duties such as sweeping and collecting garbage and using their other skills because they only value education. American students are quality-oriented encouraging students to take the initiative of studying alone (287). American students are given a chance to decide if they want to continue with education or if they want to venture into other areas of life that make them happy. American education emphasizes so much about rationalism instead of affection. Most American parents directly involve themselves in raising their children. They are not only concerned about their situation but also the social behavior of society. Some world countries like China, however, sees children as their private property. American education quality-oriented with less restriction, equips the learner with appropriate skills to serve in a competitive society with fewer employment rates.

In America, teachers are friendly and easy to approach. Everyone is treated equally since the system is not authoritative. Teachers from other parts of the world have a lot of authority, making their students have less faith in them. American teachers are ambitious, passionate, and humorous.  On the contrary, in countries like China education system trains students not to ask a question. The Chinese education system, for example, prepares students on how to do something from their tender age instead of fostering creativity. Chinese parents focus on their children's success by organizing even private tuitions for their children. Parents believe that private tuition has a significant impact on the general performance of their children. In most of the world's countries, education teacher-centered instead of student-centered as they pay a lot of attention to the content.

In most cases, richness is associated with success; therefore, parents have a lot of hope for their children as they believe that their children will soon become rich. When such students fail to attain their parent’s expectations, they become frustrated. A study by Brooks confirms that in America, parents are mostly concerned with their children's happiness (90). American education trains the students to be independent instead of being dependent. American parents can watch their children fail and continuously rise until they find working for them (95). These children are exposed to hardship, preparing them for the outside world. This makes American education the best as it fosters creativity.

Additionally, American education is understanding-based. Most world countries’ education system is memory-based. In countries like China, children are taught simple skills such as writing their names and the name of their family members, promoting a memory-based learning system. American system emphasizes the practical application of the knowledge learned. Also, American children are allowed to give their views and even take part in family meetings. These children feel included in decision making, as their parents do not have the right to refute their opinions if they do not have valid reasons.

Every country has specific aims that their education is trying to address. The American education system trains students to handle every life situation by encouraging them to rely on their ability. Learning institutions help students find what they can perform best instead of forcing everyone to find their roots through education. Most students discover their value and passion through education since American education also promotes creativity. Children are trained to sleep in their room at an early age, learn independently, and take part in cleaning their rooms. These children later become responsible and working as they grow up, challenging American students' claim of being weak and lazy. Children see the sense of performing light duties to get money at an early age. Most students from other parts of the world may interpret it as suffering. American student never finds life to be challenging while at the university or senior school because they can do part-time jobs to get some cash for tuition without seeing it as a punishment.

Contrary to this, most countries train their students to work hard, get a good job, and live a rich life since it is perceived to be a measure of success among natives of such countries. Such nations ignore children's abilities and only pay attention to the classwork. Children's ability to think, imagine, and innovate is reduced as their life is education-oriented (Sulisworo 131). Such children study hard and attain better results; however, they lack life lessons required by society as some of them cannot co-exist mutually with members of the community. Children should, therefore, be allowed to explore their dreams and learn various ways of surviving in society.

Also, education results differ from one country to the other. The difference is brought about by diverse concepts, aims, and methods of service delivery. American students show unique characteristics right from childhood. These students are independent as they do not entirely depend on their parents once they are 18 years old. American students have quick adaption to society. Countries that emphasize academic achievement other than promoting creativity risk their students as they cannot fit well in the community. Such children cannot take part in changing society. Today society requires individuals to pay attention to their skills and creativity. Most world education system is currently struggling to promote creativity among children as their future entirely depends on the young generation. Most nations have begun to view education as a tool for upgrading skills and creativity. Through comparison, we can compare the aims of American education with those from other countries.

Additionally, American students spend maximum time at schools. There is a wide raking range from different states across America. The data achieved is a representation of several American states. Some states rank higher than others; for example, Texas and New York demand more school hours for middle-school students to be ranked high. America's education system is now dependent on sky-high tuition paid by international students. America's education structure differs from most of the world's education system. In countries such as China, students are assigned specific teachers to monitor their education progress. Teachers are responsible for a group of forty students. Teachers are worried about how to help their students. Chinese teachers assign homework to students during the holidays as students are pressured to perform better in their next exams. In contrast, American teachers are advised to focus on individual creativity to design a structure that addresses students' specific needs (Seeber 238). American learning system differs from that of other countries as parents view education as a vital part of their children's life.

Finally, education centers in America require students to take creativity and ability seriously. Creativity preferment prepares students to face society. Students who value creativity stands a better chance of knowing all social aspects of life. The education System should champion independence among students instead of relying on their parents even after 18 years and above. The American education system is different from the rest of the world's education systems, structures, and policies. American students equally undergo several challenges throughout their learning periods. American parents allow their children to take a different angle in life by training them on core aspects of life. The world education system has changed in terms of aims, curriculum, and mode of teaching. American parents prepare their children to be on their own instead of relying solely on them. The cultural diversity between American students makes them unique. American teachers are humorous and friendly. Teachers guide the students by ensuring that students follow their dream. Students are advised on how to fit into society. Also, the American education system is less restrictive, allowing the students to choose their career path.
